[Well, it looks like a certain someone, or someones, have been busy. The burlesque theatre that Harley and V have been working on seems to be complete. And it looks like someone is celebrating...]

[Harley can be seen jumping and doing flips on one of the rows of couch seating.]

Gotta make sure these seats have the right amount a' springiness in 'em!

[Sitting on the edge of the stage is V.]

The devil's in the details. [He concedes, nodding once.]

[Harley reaches the end of the row, and lands in a classic gymnastics pose.]

Perfect! That row's done.

[She looks over to V who is now holding a card with "8.0" on it.]

A eight!? That was at least a nine! [She is totally pouting now.]

You're a practiced tumbler and lost points with your opening form, but your landing was well executed. Credit where credit is due.

Oh that's it. Challenge accepted!

[She goes to the next row of couch seating and launches into another routine of jumps and flips until she reaches the end of the row and sticks the landing.]

HA!

[She looks over to V, who holds up a "10" card.]

WOOHOO!

[She jumps a little in celebration as V chuckles a little at her antics and looks over towards the camera, finally noticing it.]

Ah, it appears I wasn't your only spectator.

[Harley looks to the camera, grins and goes over to it.]

Perfect timin'! Hi everybody! As ya can see, Harlesque is complete an' we'll be openin' soon! Ya know what that means? Open auditions fer anyone who wants ta preform! [The camera turns off as she and V wave.]

Character Information
Character Name: Harley Quinn (aka Dr. Harleen Quinzel)
Fandom: DC the New 52 (Harley Quinn comics)

Character History: (Note: It's still a bit unclear how the Harley Quinn comics tie in with the rest of the New 52 universe, as she is still a main character in the current Suicide Squad comics. Though it has been shown that Harley recalls some events and has the same history as the Harley in the Suicide Squad Vol 4 comics (2011-2014). Because of that, I will be pulling some of her history from that series as well, as it does explain her current feelings for the Joker in her solo series. There are some differences in Harley's history between the two series that was not clear when I first wrote this app. There are still a lot of similarities, but I will strike out any of the differences and put in what is her actual history that is tied to her series.)
Harleen Quinzel was born and raised in Brooklyn, NY and is the eldest of four children. Even at a young age, she displayed some not so sane tendencies, such as putting on a Wonder Woman Halloween costume and attacking some school bullies, resulting in hanging one from a tree with the costume's lasso. Fortunately the bully was only hurt, but young Harleen obviously got in trouble with the school. Also while at a very young age, her father was hit and killed by a drunk driver. Unfortunately, the driver was quite wealthy and had connections so he was never convicted. (This is not the case in her solo comics. Her father is apparently still alive, retired, and living in Florida with her mother. This didn't become obvious until around issue 28.)
Later, in high school, she developed a strong interest in psychology, which was further fueled by her first crush, a boy named Bernie, who willingly murdered someone for Harleen as a way of showing his love for her. He was tried as an adult and the day after he was sent to prison, Harleen broke into his family's home and stole a taxidermy beaver from his room, so that she could have something to remember him by. She would keep this stuffed beaver all the way into her adult years.
After high school she went to Gotham to attend university, and later medical school, where she graduated at top her class and became a psychiatrist. At first she was a residence at a hospital, but she always had an interest in working with the criminally insane. This eventually led her to landing a job at Arkham Asylum to work with the most unstable of criminals. This is where she first met the Joker.
During their first session, Harleen didn't buy most of what the Joker was telling her, showing that she would not be intimidated by him like the other psychiatrists before her. In between sessions it was revealed that the Joker was conducting his own research on her, learning everything he can about her history. It wasn't until their tenth that it was shown how deeply he had gone. It was during this session that the Joker presented Harleen with a finger wrapped in a handkerchief. He informed her that it belonged to the man who killed her father and that he was sorry that he couldn't present her with the whole body as that was a little harder to smuggle into Arkham. It was after this tenth session that Harleen started to develop feelings for the Joker.
Afterwards, Harleen's supervisor, Dr. Sterano, discovered her crush for the Joker after going through her notes in an attempt the steal them. After confronting about it, Harleen attacked the other woman in a fit of rage, nearly killing her, but was interrupted by one of the guards. She killed the guard and went to the Joker's cell to break him out.
(What happened in her comics is much different up until the point where the Joker pushes her into the chemical vat.)
While at Arkham, Harleen realized that a lot of the inmates didn't trust the doctors since most of them do would rather keep the inmates medicated and docile as oppose to trying to work with them. As a result, she found it hard to get inmates to talk and open up to her, simply because she was another doctor. To get by this, she decided to conduct an experiment by dying her hair and disguising herself as an inmate. The only one who knew that she really was a psychiatrist was the Warden of the Asylum.
For awhile it worked. She was able to get close to inmates who were the most distrustful to the doctors, including the one inmate she really wanted to study, the Joker. But after some time, the Joker revealed to her that he knew she was psychiatrist the whole time. He eventually manipulated her, making her believe that he really cared about her but knowing her own history, which caused Harleen to fall hard for him.
But all things come to an end. The Warden was killed by an inmate which caused Harleen's cover to be blown. The new Warden disapproved of her experiment, and she was fired, being called insane for even conducting it. Not about to leave the connections the made while undercover, she broke into Arkham and escaped with the Joker.
Later that night, the Joker took her to the Ace Chemical Processing Plant, saying he's going to make her like him, powerful by failing to care about society's rules. Realizing what he intended to do, she struggles to get away but he still pushes her into a vat of the same chemical that turned his own skin white and drove him insane. He drained the vat after she sank to the bottom, revealing Harleen's skin was also bleached pure white. She had lost touch with reality which meant she felt like she could do whatever she wanted. The Joker dubbed her Harley Quinn and she became one of his closets henchmen.
When the Joker was captured and convicted again, Harley went on a rampage, hunting down and killing all the lawyers that put him away. This led to the Black Canary capturing her and she was sent to death row at Belle Reve prison
It was at Belle Reve's that she was recruited into the Suicide Squad, implanted with a micro bomb, and did the government's dirty work in exchange for a shorter sentence.
While in the Squad she learned of the Joker's supposed death, and that the skin of his face was at Gotham's police headquarters. A guard at the prison deactivated her bomb after a mission an before taking her to her cell, thinking she was just a woman with no superpowers and couldn't do much harm. He thought wrong. She started a riot in the prison and used it as cover to escape in order to go to Gotham and get the Joker's face. In response the rest of the Suicide Squad went after her. The result ended with her being shot in the gut by Deadshot.
She did recover from her injuries, though her mental state further deteriorated, and she formed another personality where she claimed to be Dr. Harleen Quinzel again. Despite protests from other squad members protests, she was reinstated back into the Suicide Squad.
After a mission to kill Regulus of Basilisk, it was revealed that the Joker was indeed alive. During the funeral of Deadshot, who shot himself in order to kill Regulus, the area was filled with Joker Venom, which Harley was immune to. She was happy to see that he was alive, but he was brutal and vengeful towards her, saying he sensed a change in her that he didn't like, and that he knew about the brief infatuation she had with Deadshot, but claimed he would forgive her if she did him a favor.
Dressed in the Joker's Red Hood costume, she manages to trick Batman and trap him in an overfilling vat of chemical waste. Upon hearing his demands to freed, Harley claimed that the Joker has changed. The Joker had heard and accused her of being the one who has changed, and even threaten to cut off her face as a way to prove her loyalty. She still claimed that she was the same Harley Quinn, she he choked her with a chain until she fell into unconsciousness. She woke to being attacked by her own hyenas, whom the Joker affected with rabies. Reluctantly she had to kill them, and in a fit of rage she tried to kill the Joker as well, though she failed in this aspect. She was left for dead and had to cut her own wrists in order to get out of the cuffs she was locked in. While she was recovering in the infirmary of Belle Rev, Deadshot, who was not really dead, visited her, where she informed him that she was too good from him and the Joker.
Sometime after she gained her freedom from Belle Rev, she started staying in a storage unit where she kept all her "treasures," including the stuff beaver that was her first crush's whom she now calls Bernie and thinks he talks to her. Unfortunately, the Joker at some point planted a bomb in the unit among her comic books. Fortunately she survived the blast with minor injuries and was able to walk away from it.
Not long after the explosion, a lawyer who was looking for her approached. One of her old patients back at Arkham had passed away and had left her a building on Coney Island in his will. With the promise of a fresh start, she leaves Gotham to New York, where she is now a landlord of a 4 story building and thanks to some hacking work from possibly Poison Ivy, she is working as a psycho therapist at a local nursing home. Things are not always peaceful though, as she has a $2,000,000 hit on her head, which she apparently put out while sleep walking, and she still does all the wrong things for the right reasons.
Character Personality: Typically Harley has good intentions, having a soft spot for animals, young children and the elderly, but her actions betray that she is not a sane person. Such as, when she finds out that an animal shelter will be euthanizing 50 animals in the morning so that they can make room, she gets Poison Ivy to help her break into the shelter at night and steal all the animals, or kidnapping an entire family to yell at them because their grandmother told her in a therapy session that she never gets any visits from her son and his family. There are also times where she has trouble distinguishing what is real and what is not. For example, she interrupted a burlesque show because she thought the two performers were really trying to kill each other rather than play fighting.
She also has a twisted sense of justice now. Though she no longer wants to be one of the "bad guys" she will not hesitate to kill someone either in self defense or in defense of someone else, even when killing is not necessary. She even develops a bit of a Robin Hood complex, only stealing from rich Wall Street executives who have been rumored to get their money in unfavorable ways, and uses said money to fund her own gang that helps out people where the police have failed. She is also a bit delusional, thinking that well known super heroes and members of the Justice League will call on her to be their sidekick one day. The only exception being Batman, as she still acts quite hostile towards him, even though she is trying to wake a good path.
Though she hates it, she still has feelings for the Joker. She even admits that he brings out the worse in her, and that it is better if she were to keep her distance from him. Being around him makes her want to do things that she hates doing, such as hurting people who don't deserve it.
She also has a bit of a split personality complex. After the Joker pushed her into the vat of chemicals that physically changed her, she also lost touched with reality. She realized she could be anyone she wants to be. She could be calm professional doctor that she once was, a sexy bimbo, or a crazed psycho path. Most of the time she plays the role of the bimbo because that the one that the Joker liked the most. Even now that she is no longer with the Joker she still acts that role most of the time, acting more child like, and making people think she is naive and dumb. Her professional personality only comes out when she's with her patients at the nursing home, where she wears makeup and a wig to make herself look like her old self. There are a few rare occasions where this side of her has come out when she is not in the nursing home, such as when she manages to talk her own kidnapper into letting her go and turn himself in or helping a little girl make up with her father. Usually when this happens she will actually put on a pair of glass in an attempt to appear more professional despite her pure white skin and two tone hair. Even more rarely does her psycho path side come out anymore. The times that it has come to the surface were always associated with the Joker, such as when a machine tried to download her brain and it brought some memories of the Joker to the surface, or when she actually has to confront him in Arkham when she was trying to break another friend out.
Harley is also not easily threatened, which is no surprise considering her past relationship with the Joker. Common criminals do not phase her at all, and she has even stuck her finger in the barrels of guns that are pointed at her, which usually throws off those criminals. Even when assassins come after she's more annoyed in the "ugh, not again" kind of way rather than scared in the "oh no they're trying to kill me" way.

Powers and Abilities: She doesn't have any real powers other than an immunity to various toxins, like Joker Venom, and Poison Ivy's touch. This is mainly due to her exposure to the same chemical that bleached her skin pure white.
As for abilities, she is an excellent at gymnastics and an excellent fighter in the "fight dirty" sort of way. She also seems to be abnormally strong, being able to swing a large metal hammer with ease.

[Harley comes into view, grinning and looking even more excited than usual. She is holding something behind her back.]

Hiya guys! Wanna see my beaver? TA-DA!

[And she pulls out an actual stuffed beaver. What were you thinking she was going show? Anyway, the beaver looks like it's seen better days. One side is charred and burned down to the skull, and there is a big hole through its chest.]

Meet Bernie! The city must a' decided that I needed a little something from home.

[She starts tossing the "Bernie" up in the air and catching him.]

Kinda nice ta have a familiar face around you can talk ta, you know? Oh! That's right!

[She stops tossing the beaver and holds him instead.]

Bernie can talk, but only I can hear him, so don't be too alarmed when I talk back to him!

[Hey, at least she's warning people about this particular part of her crazy.]

I wonder if the city will bring Nathan, or Frankie, or Princess, or Rocket Monkey or any a' the other little ones here one day?

[Her eye start to water some, and even gives a little sniffle before...]

WAAAAA!!! I MISS ALL MY PUPPIES AND KITTIES!

[Well that took a sudden turn. She turns off the video, so that she can compose herself and be her usual crazy cheerful self again.]

Third Person:

Harley gives a bit of a groan as she opens her eyes, wondering what/who hit her and how big of a mallet she is going to need to return the favor. She's pretty sure she hasn't done anything recently that would provoke anyone to knock her out like that. But then again, she has been wrong before when it comes to these kinds of things.

"Holee headachy, what hit me?" she groans out loud as she sits up, holding her head. Yep, definitely going to have to use the big mallet whenever she finds who did this to her. It feels like a mariachi band is playing in her head, which is a feeling that is normally reserved for when she has a hangover.

Looking around, she notices that she is surrounded by tall trees. Well at least she got dumped someplace nice for a change. For a minute she thinks she is in Central Park, but the lack of litter or any signs of a homeless person around tells her otherwise. In fact, this place doesn't look familiar at all.

"Okay, where am I?" she mutters, as she gets up. At least the headache is starting to reside. Maybe she can go down to a smaller mallet when does find who left her here. Who knows, maybe she'll even thank them for leaving her here. It is a really nice forest after all.

She starts to make her way through the forest, noticing that there is something not quite right. Like it isn't normal, at least by Earth standards. Like the one her and Power Girl saw when they were sent to another dimension. Which brings her to a conclusion

"Holee cannoli! Don't tell me I went through teleportation ring again!" she shouts before clapping her hands over her mouth. It appears to her that she's alone, but who knows where any natives might be hiding. Better to keep her thoughts to herself just to be on the safe side.

Welp, standing around here isn't going to get her anywhere. Time to if there really were some natives around, and if they have any interesting toys that she can play with. Like the hard light gloves that she used in the last dimension she visited.
